Death: The Elephant in the Living RoomTampa | August 23, 2015 Our Western culture turns away from death, often moving the elderly and ill to nursing homes so that this final and perhaps most significant event of our lives is hidden. As a result, most people are very uncomfortable contemplating death, either abstractly or personally. Anxiety abounds in our society, with the largest, deepest fear being that of death. In this Dharma talk, Fred talks about the importance of looking at death, and the promise for liberation that a deep understanding and acceptance of death offers. |
