Programs | OverviewPeople come to the Florida Community of Mindfulness (FCM) for many reasons. Some are seeking stress reduction and greater resiliency in navigating the challenges of daily life. Others aspire to walk the Buddha’s path and live an awakened life of wisdom and compassion. And across this spectrum, some are also seeking the experience of community, where friendship, trust, and support are important values, while community may be of less interest to others (learn more about community at FCM).
You may find our Newcomers page helpful if you are unfamiliar our programs. Newcomers and experienced practitioners alike are also encourage to visit our Three Paths section, which explains our teacher Fred's unique three-path developmental model for students at FCM. Whatever your aspirations, FCM has designed programs to be relevant to your life and needs. Our Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation class is a great place for newcomers to begin, with many additional opportunities for learning to live with more ease and deeper purpose through our meditation programs, classes, retreats and Intensive study programs. |
