Community | Meditation in RecoveryPeople who practice meditation report reduced stress, greater peace, more clarity and happiness in their lives. They sleep better and have an increased ability to concentrate. Please join on of our "Meditation in Recovery" (MIR) groups to learn more about the 11th Step (Prayer and Meditation) and how to make it part of your daily life. Meditation is easy to learn and will help you cultivate a rich and rewarding spiritual practice, one that will support you in realizing the promises. FCM's weekly MIR groups are open to everyone in recovery: AA, NA, Al-Anon, and other programs. It is also for those trying to spend less time on other addictive activities, such as scrolling social media or the internet, excessive TV watching, shopping, and more. Everybody is welcome, whether you are just starting out or have been meditating for a while. The evenings are led by teachers with a foundation in both meditation and recovery. We are a word of mouth program, so spread the word. Join us and feel free to bring someone with you. There are two weekly meetings of FCM's Meditation in Recovery program: 1. Mondays, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, in person in the Lotus Hall of the Tampa Practice Center. 2. Tuesdays, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, online only via Zoom, with links as follows (please try to arrive a few minutes early on Zoom so we can all start together, on time): Video Link: For more information please contact Eleanor Cecil at ececil1@verizon.net. |
