2020 Lettuce Lake Walk in the Park

After many months of seeing their colleagues in small groups or on small Zoom screens, about 40 FCM members and their guests joyfully attended an in-person outing at Lettuce Lake Park on November 28 to renew in-person connections and greet new acquaintances.

To ensure their safety, they followed strict COVID-19 protocols. Because the park would permit only groups of up to ten members, FCM attendees were divided into four groups that were widely spaced in different areas of the park.

Our teacher Fred thrilled each group by visiting them in person. Each group was led on a silent walking meditation down a path in the park, returned to their area for a snack and listened to Plum Village music provided by member Rick Ferriss. Community Care team leaders Pat Lukacs and Linda Schocken organized the event.
