The Florida Community of Mindfulness (FCM) offers a variety of programs to support Dharma students in their aspiration to cultivate wisdom and compassion, and to be able to lead mindful, awakened lives. These programs support the developmental model for students created by our teacher, Fred Eppsteiner, including the six-to-eight month “Path of Awakening” themes we follow.
Our programs include training in mindfulness meditation and other practices that develop insight, compassion and wisdom; offering access to teachers who can provide authentic transmission and explanation of the Buddhist teachings; conducting weekly meditation sessions, days of mindfulness and retreats; sponsoring intensive practice periods (periods of Buddhist practice that last three to six months); teaching classes and workshops on Buddhism and meditation; and supporting other engaged Buddhist activities, such as support groups, community gatherings, outings in nature and other types of community-building events. Additional programs and activities are available for those who wish to deepen their practice further.
Many of our programs are available to both members and non-members. Certain other programs, such as retreats, Intensives, mentorship, and the opportunity for individual practice consultations with our teacher, Fred, are available to members only. Please visit our Membership page to learn more about FCM membership.

We undertake all of these activities in order to make our practice relevant and meaningful both to ourselves, and to our community.
