Please join us Saturday, October 1st, from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm as we joyfully begin to transform the area on the north side of the meditation hall into a beautiful Children’s Buddha Garden for the enjoyment and benefit of our Family Program.  In this first stage we will be preparing the area for future planting and irrigation, weeding, mulching and spreading shell for a walkway.  We will also be organizing the compost equipment and cleaning/placing outdoor chairs and tables, including two new children’s size picnic tables. 

We will begin the day in the meditation hall at 8:30 am with sitting meditation in preparation for our mindful work, which will commence around 9:00 am after an orientation by work day leaders. Please wear old clothes, sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring work gloves if you have them. Snacks and water will be provided.  Children ages 9 and above are welcome to join us for the work day, of course, accompanied by a loving and mindful adult. 

*Please bring the following tools if you have them: a hard tine rake and a regular hoe or hand hoe.
