Mindfulness Practices for an Anxiety-free Life

Registration: 8:30

Class Begins: 9:00

Join workshop leader Gary DuDell to examine the rich and powerful role a mindfulness-based practice plays in freeing you from a continual struggle with anxiety. This workshop focuses on mindfulness as both a method: 1) to cultivate a solid ground in order to live with greater awareness and ease; the result is feeling more rooted, present-centered, and less vulnerable to the pull of anxiety, and 2) to respond effectively to worry, fear, and panic so that anxiety no longer gets in the way of happiness and well-being.

Very often, we make numerous attempts to overcome our anxiety, yet become frustrated and discouraged.  One of the causes of feeling “stuck” is that we try to cultivate positive change alone. This workshop is an opportunity to gain and give support, get fresh ideas, and acquire new tools to improve the quality of your life.

Participants will:

  • Learn specific skills that will help you direct your energy and efforts to aspects of your life that really matter.
  • Deepen your understanding of ways in which to fundamentally change your relationship to anxiety so it no longer has you in it’s grip and be a cause of suffering. To cultivate greater acceptance of anxiety, rather than continue to react with fear and failed attempts to overcome it.
  • Learn research-based methods that will produce long-term freedom from anxiety, rather than short-term relief.
  • Deepen their understanding of mindfulness-based practices that nourish and fortify their overall well-being and happiness.

This workshop combines presentation, group sharing, and experiential activities.
